About me.

Out of the ordinary, unexpected or interesting, the world is full of new sights to see amongst the mundane, not a day goes by without seeing a sight that is worthy of note, and while I don’t profess to be able to capture much of a fraction of what I'd like to, it’s great to see so much interesting stuff collectively accumulated and shared around the world online each day.

I live on the Sefton coast on the north west coast of England, up the road from the 2008 European capital of culture, Liverpool with its fine architecture and ports. My local beach is at Crosby, which has attracted so many photographers since the Anthony Gormleys ‘Another place’ ironman installation, but it’s always nice to find a new angle and light situation that makes an image a little different.

While I love all sorts of imagery processes, photography makes it possible to make creative and interesting images at all sorts of scales, macros from everyday objects set in interesting ways with the right light to large scale wide angle landscapes.

Flickr is a social network and I enjoy viewing and commenting on pictures, so feel free to look mine over, I’d love to get to know you and your work, I do welcome comments, faves and constructive crit.

Flashy graphics and large links I can do without:).. and indeed adverts are likely to get you reported and blocked sorry!

Hot tea, Fiddlers ferry on Flickr.

On the way home yesterday evening, grey on grey, not too much to recover in full colour.

In shot pylons leading upto Fiddlers ferry coal powered power station, two of the eight huge cooling towers and the steam.

Windmills of your mind, Crosby. HSS on Flickr.

A shot from a little while back from the beach, so I’ve gone past saying sorry for Another place shots, but the windturbines must come a close second for taking centre stage in shots that I upload, but I find something magical about them when they are spinning.
